RIVERA ENGINEERING AND PRIMO BELT DRIVES MAKE A MOVE TO AHDRA STREET PRO COMPETITION AND RETURN AS ARIZONA BIKE WEEK NATIONALS TITLE SPONSOR
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., December 30, 2002 - The AHDRA announced today the signing of Rivera Engineering and Primo Belt Drives as the 2003 class sponsor of the Street Pro Class and the title sponsorship of the Arizona Bike Week Nationals.
A highly competitive class with 9- second quarter mile marks at speeds up to 146 miles-per-hour, the Rivera-Primo Street Pro class is reserved for street legal Sportster, Buell, Big Twin and aftermarket based motorcycles. Riders must have a valid registration and license tag (no dealer tags). A bike and rider weight ratio of 5.5 lbs. per cubic inch will be the rule. (Minimum weight at conclusion of run including rider).
Rivera Engineering and Primo Belt Drives have been major supporters of AHDRA racing for many years and Craig Tharpe; President of AHDRA says he and the staff are very pleased to have them return for our biggest season yet.

In addition to the Street Pro sponsorship, Rivera Engineering and Primo Belt Drives will be adding over $5,000 to the AHDRA contingency program with and additional $1500- bonus posting for the Rivera-Primo Street Pro National Points Champion meeting the necessary product usage requirements. ($500 for Rivera-Primo parts and $1000 for Dual Runner Mikuni Brute 4 or 5 Belt Drive and lock-up).
Rivera Engineering and Primo Belt Drives will proudly host the Arizona Bike Week Nationals for a 4th consecutive year in 2003. The Rivera Engineering-Primo Belt Drives Arizona Bike Week Nationals will lead off the AHDRA Western Division tour on April 5th & 6th at the scenic Firebird International Raceway.
