FAST TRACK IN INDY LEADS TO NEW NATIONAL RECORDS AT THE JOKER MACHINE INDY NATIONALS

WINSTON-SALEM, NC, September 26, 2003 - AHDRA's first appearance at Indianapolis Raceway Park ended with plenty of excitement and new marks in the record books when Steve Stordeur of Goshen, OH, blazed the quarter mile with a 6.378 at 220.58 MPH in the final round of Screamin' Eagle Nitro Harley Top Fuel competition.

Riding on the Mancuso Harley-Davidson sponsored bike, Stordeur bettered his own record ET (6.389, set in 2001) with the winning pass over RMC Racing's Drums Brancaccio of Nutley, NJ. Fellow teammate Johnny Mancuso (Houston, TX) scored the MPH numbers that were good enough to set and back up a new MPH record with a 219.47 pass in Sunday's opening round of eliminations, ousting Doug Vancil's record of 217.25 set earlier in the season.
