THE ALL HARLEY DRAG RACING ASSOCIATION'S
EXCITING SEASON FINALE - McCLURE STYLE!

October 10-11 Rockingham Dragway

Winston-Salem, NC September 10, 2009 - The All Harley Drag Racing Association (AHDRA) will head to Rockingham Dragway on October 10-11 for the 2009 Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts Jim McClure Nationals.

The championship standings have put the pressure on several competitors as the chase is on in the 16 classes of competition in the 2009 Screamin' Eagle Championship Series. Fans will have the chance to see 220+ nitro-powered Harley-Davidsons battle it out over the chance not only to win the race but also to win the national championship title!

The Jim McClure Nationals were named after the legendary 19-time national champion who passed away in 2004. Jim McClure was loved and respected by all who knew him for his enduring kindness and caring. This weekend's event is an opportunity to pay tribute to him and his endless contributions to the drag racing industry. Jim would certainly love the close competition heading into the AHDRA's season finale.

This year the AHDRA brings to the track for the first time the "King of the Rock." All gas bikes are welcome to participate in this race. A pro tree will be used and all racers will have to dial in a time that they think their bike will run. Two bikes will go down the track and only one will come back until only one remains-the "King of the Rock." There will be a $100 entry fee; the winner will be awarded 60% of entries and the runner-up will be awarded 30%. Trophies will be awarded to both the winner and the runner-up.

The weekend events will get under way on Friday with a Test-N-Tune from 3:00-8:00 p.m. On Saturday, three rounds of qualifying begin at 9:00 a.m., and once that is completed the "King of the Rock" gamblers race will take place. On Saturday night at the track, back by popular demand, North Carolina's Peace Pipe band will be playing. On Sunday, sportsman eliminations begin at 9:00 a.m. and the pros will take the track at 12:30 p.m.

Admission is $50 for the weekend and $30 for a single-day pass. Children 11 and under are admitted free, and there's free admission for active military and reserve personnel with valid I.D. Camping is available beginning Friday. $10 camping fee in addition to $50 weekend admission fee for spectators arriving on Friday and Saturday.
