ALL HARLEY DRAG RACING HEADS TO STURGIS FOR THE RACE AT THE RALLY AUGUST 3-5

Winston-Salem, NC July 27, 2009 - The All Harley Drag Racing Association (AHDRA) will have an exciting three-race month in August.

AHDRA will bring the Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts "Race at the Rally" to Sturgis Dragway to kick off the 69th Annual Sturgis Rally held in the Black Hill of South Dakota on August 3rd, 4th, and 5th.

Although it is a non-points event, AHDRA will host its regular sixteen classes of competition that includes three nitro classes, modified gas bikes, V-Rod Destroyers, street bikes and more.

Sturgis continues to draw biker enthusiasts from all over the country year after year. AHDRA will introduce thousands of new fans and racers to the excitement of tire burning, nitro powered Harley drag racing as well as give them the opportunity to race their own bikes down the new and improved 1/8-mile track.

Racing action begins at Sturgis Dragway on Monday, August 3rd with the Test and Tune session at 3:00pm. On Tuesday, August 4th, competitors will run three rounds of qualifying beginning at 1:00pm and Wednesday, August 5th elimination rounds will begin at 1:00pm.

Admission for Tuesday and Wednesday will be $20 each day or a 2-day ticket can be purchased for $35. Children 11 and under are admitted free. Admission to Monday's test and tune session is $10. AHDRA offers free admission on all days to active and reserve military personnel with proper I.D.

Sturgis Dragway is located east of Sturgis. Take SR 34 and then west on SR 79. The dragway is next to Glencoe Campground.
