AHDRA KICKS OFF ACTION-PACKED MONTH AT STURGIS BIKE WEEK, AUGUST 6TH, 7TH & 8TH

WINSTON-SALEM, NC, July 18, 2007 - The All Harley Drag Racing Association (AHDRA) will hit the road in August for a jammed packed three-race month-and there's no better place to kick off the action than Sturgis Bike Week!

AHDRA will bring the Screamin' Eagle "Race at the Rally" to Sturgis Dragway on August 6th, 7th and 8th.

The non-points event will host AHDRA's regular sixteen classes of competition that includes three nitro classes, modified gas bikes, V-Rod Destroyers, street bikes and more. Over $60,000 in cash prizes will be up for grabs.

In addition to racing and vendors at the 1/8th mile track, the Official H.O.G. Pitstop returns with free H.O.G. pins for members with paid admission. The H.O.G. Pitstop will operate on Tuesday and Wednesday from 12noon-5:00pm.

Racers and fans can look forward to a new and improved facility at Sturgis Dragway that includes added shutdown area for racers and brand new scoreboards to display the fast action on the track.

AHDRA President, Craig Tharpe says the sanction is anticipating great results from the improved facility. "AHDRA has the opportunity to show off what the sport is all about in front of thousands of attendees at the rally", he added. "Sturgis continues to draw biker enthusiasts from all over the country year after year and if we can introduce just a portion of them to drag racing each year-the result is obvious-our fan base grows as well. We want them to leave there pumped up and ready to tell friends and family about the excitement of Harley Drag racing".
