AHDRA AND SCREAMIN' EAGLE PERFORMANCE PARTS ANNOUNCE RETURN OF THE LAS VEGAS HIGH STAKES SHOOTOUT AND A BRAND NEW $15,000 PURSE!
Winston-Salem, NC, July 16, 2002- AHDRA announced today that they have teamed up with Screamin'
Eagle Performance Parts, a division of the Harley-Davidson Motor Company, to host the 2nd
Annual Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts Las Vegas High Stakes Shootout, where one lucky
winner will take home a check for $12,000.00.
The shootout will be held Saturday, October 19, 2002, at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor
Speedway, during the AHDRA JIMS Las Vegas Nationals, the largest and last event of the
AHDRA 2002 National Points Series.
The purse has been increased to $15,000, with $12,000 going to the winner and $3,000
to the runner up making it the biggest purse in history going completely to Harley-Davidson
sportsman racers.
Any Harley-Davidson motorcycle with a VIN number on the frame or motor and meeting AHDRA
technical and safety requirements for the Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts Class, Super
Eliminator Class, Super Sport Class, Super Gas Class, ET Class and Street Pro Class, may
participate. No delay boxes or electronic throttle stops will be allowed.
All professional and novice racers are encouraged to participate. You must be a current
member of the AHDRA. Entry fee is $100.00 if received prior to Friday October 11, 2002.
Entry fees following October 11, 2002 or entries on site are $150.00.
Participants will receive one gate entry ticket, one commemorative competitors plate,
a Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts T-shirt and an entry to win one full year of membership
and entry fees for the 2003 AHDRA season. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the
Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).
