Winston-Salem, NC May 29, 2009 - The All Harley Drag Racing Association (AHDRA) will be headed to Summit Motorsports Park (Norwalk, OH) next weekend for the Ohio Bike Week Nationals presented by The Harley-Davidson Dealers of Northern Ohio.

Ohio Bike Week will start off its 10 days of "Rockin' & Racin'" with the AHDRA's Ohio Bike Week Nationals. The excitement and thrills of motorcycles drag racing the ¼ mile always brings out a giant crowd of fans and spectators to watch 16 different classes battle it out for supremacy.

Mark Venia of nearby Toledo is the current points leader in the Pro Stock category. Mark had taken a break of two years from racing so that he could focus on his business, Dyno-Power. He has returned to racing this season and has already gotten a #1 qualifier and a win at our last event in Atlanta.

"Rob Schopf at Hal's Harley-Davidson and Jim Schneider at Competition Research & Development, Inc., made some great engine improvements for our 2009 race program and have provided excellent technical assistance," stated Venia.

Another local favorite is Chris Streeter (Lake Erie Racing) of Cleveland. He knows all about the fans and the roar of excitement from the grandstands. He is a two-time national champion in the Pro Fuel category and has been racing for over 20 years.

"We have painted the bike since last year and put on a new ignition system called Electromotive, which I am also a distributor for, and can't wait to do some racing at our home track and have some of our local sponsors come out to catch all the action," Chris commented.

You can catch Venia and Streeter along with the several hundred other racers in action this weekend at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, OH.

Racing will start at 9:00 am both days (June 6-7). Admission is $40 for the weekend or $25 for a single-day admission. Children under 11 are admitted free. AHDRA also offers free admission for active and reserve military personnel.
