AHDRA FIRES UP EARLY AT "THE STRIP" LAS VEGAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY AT THE SCREAMIN' EAGLE PERFORMANCE PARTS LAS VEGAS SPRING NATIONALS PRESENTED BY KOMP 92.3

WINSTON-SALEM, NC, April 24, 2003 - AHDRA announces the first of two appearances at "The Strip" Las Vegas Motor Speedway on May 3rd and 4th.

Answering the demand to increase western division venues, AHDRA President Craig Tharpe says he was pleased that the staff at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will be offering AHDRA twice the excitement at their top-notch facility in 2003.

Fans will witness over thirty of the fastest tire-smoking and fire-breathing 200 mph Screamin' Eagle Nitro Harleys blazing the quarter-mile strip in six seconds. Top guns in the sport will compete for over $50,000 in cash and prizes, including AHDRA Top Fuel Champion Ron Houniet, two-time IHRA Champion Doug Vancil, drag racing legend Ray Price, and lots more.

Price will be making the trip from Raleigh, NC, and will be on location with KOMP 92.3 on Thursday morning, May 1st, at Tower Records SuperStore in Las Vegas for autographs and a sneak preview of his nitro-breathing machine. Entering his 38th season of drag racing and coming off a win in Phoenix, AZ, Price will seek back-to-back Screamin' Eagle Nitro Harley wins at The Strip.

AHDRA hosts sixteen classes of competition, including three nitro classes, modified gas bikes, Pro Stock, street bikes, junior dragsters, and more.

Gates open at The Strip on Saturday at 8:00 a.m., and qualifying begins at 9:00 a.m. On Sunday, gates open at 8:00 a.m., with Sportsman eliminations at 9:00 a.m. and Pro eliminations at 12: 30 p.m.

Admission to the Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts Las Vegas Spring Nationals presented by KOMP 92.3 is $40 for two days and $25 for a single day. Children under 12 are admitted free, and H.O.G. members receive a $5 discount at the gate.

It's the ultimate in motorcycle drag racing May 3rd and 4th at The Strip Las Vegas Motor Speedway!
