AHDRA LIFTS WEIGHT REQUIREMENTS FOR 60 DEGREE ENGINES AND FUEL INJECTION IN PRO STOCK COMPETITION

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., March 24, 2003-AHDRA announced today that weight requirements previously imposed for the 60-degree engine in Pro Stock competition have now been lifted following announcements of the engine's availability from S &S and other distributors. Also upon confirmation of availability from Holley, S & S, Motec and EFI, the weight requirements have been lifted for electronic fuel injection.

Speaking on behalf of AHDRA, Technical Director, Bill McGrew says this news will bring the AHDRA rules and regulations for Pro Stock in line with NHRA guidelines with the exception of the 200 cubic inch requirement. "It will definitely open the door for strong competition in the Pro Stock class", he added.

The AHDRA offers 16 classes of competition including the 200mph Screamin' Eagle Nitro Harleys, S & S Pro Stock, modified gas bikes, Junior dragsters and more.
