GAINESVILLE HARLEY-DAVIDSON TO PRESENT AHDRA SEASON OPENER, MARCH 4TH & 5th, GAINESVILLE RACEWAY, GAINESVILLE, FL

LARGEST FIELD OF COMPETITORS IN AHDRA HISTORY EXPECTED TO PARTICIPATE!

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., February 5, 2003-AHDRA announced today the signing of Gainesville Harley-Davidson as presenting sponsor of the Screamin' Eagle Bike Week Nationals, which is expected to be the largest season opener ever for AHDRA.

Gainesville Harley-Davidson, General Manager, John Boots says he and his staff are extremely excited about the event. "It's absolutely perfect. It's exactly what we have been looking for to market the Harley-Davidson product. It's a top-level track, and a top-level event with a great product to promote. We've been involved in several racing events, including ProStar and the Gator Nationals, but never to this extent. Sponsoring the AHDRA event is just perfect".

Even though the Gainesville Harley-Davidson dealership has only been in business nine years, they have received the Circle of Achievement Award six years in a row, a award that the Motor Company presents to dealerships for outstanding performance. The activities surrounding the Screamin' Eagle Bike Week Nationals presented by Gainesville Harley-Davidson will start up Monday, March 3rd at the Gainesville Harley-Davidson dealership when they host the AHDRA Kick Start party, 5-8pm. Race fans can stop by to meet AHDRA racers and get a sneak preview of their extreme nitro burning machines.

Racing action gets underway at Gainesville Raceway, Tuesday, March 4th with qualifying at 9am. On Wednesday, March 5th, eliminations for Sportsman classes kick off at 9am and the Pro's are scheduled for 12:30pm.

AHDRA President, Craig Tharpe says fans can expect to see the largest field of competitors in the history of AHDRA. "With the addition of the Screamin' Eagle Nitro Harley program announced earlier this year, we may see over 40 Top Fuel entries in Gainesville. It's going to be huge. We are very fortunate to have the great support coming from Screamin' Eagle and Gainesville Harley-Davidson and it will no doubt be our biggest debut ever". Tharpe added that there would be an announcement later in the week regarding television coverage of the Gainesville event and other AHDRA races during the 2003 season.

Admission to the Screamin' Eagle Bike Week Nationals presented by Gainesville Harley-Davidson is $40 for 2 days and single day passes are $25. Children under 12 are admitted free and H.O.G. members receive a $5 discount at the gate.
