April 18^th 2010

6:25PM – We’ve come to the close of a long hot weekend here in Phoenix. I hope everyone had a great time! No matter how hot it is, it’s always a fun weekend when you’re racing. I hope to see everyone in two weeks at Atlanta (Yes, only two weeks!!) - Donna

3:41PM – Well, we’re running a little bit behind schedule right now but should be able to make up some time in round 3 of eliminations. We’re all happy to see Rickey House back at the track today. Not only is he here, but he’s racing! It’s currently 93º out and I think that’s the hottest it’s been for us so far this year as far as racing goes. Everyone’s still running strong and it’s been a great show so far!

10:57AM – It looks like it’s going to be another great day here in Phoenix. If you were checking the qualifying rounds that I updated yesterday, you may have noticed that some of the sportsman classes had the ladders listed instead of the qualifying results. I’m sorry about that. I fixed it this morning though. Also, I wanted to say sorry to Donnie Huffman and Kevin Garrow for leaving you guys off of the SEP ladder. I just skipped right over your names. It’s all fixed now though. J Good Luck to all the racers today! I’ll try to keep you updated as much as possible. - Donna

April 17^th 2010

6:18PM – Qualifying is complete. All of the times are posted and also the ladders are posted for tomorrow. We are not going to be running any eliminations in the morning. Riders, be ready for our 11:15am Mandatory Riders Meeting. That’s all for tonight. - Donna

3:49PM – Two rounds down…one more to go. We’re well on our way into the third round of qualifying right now. We were stopped for about a half an hour today during our Pro Fuel class. Rickey House had a good run but went long and into the sand. He was up and conscious but was taken to the hospital for an injury to his left leg. We’re sending our get well wishes to him for a speedy recovery. -Donna

12:39PM – Round one of qualifying is in the books. We’re moving quickly into the second round of sportsman classes. Qualifying is updated on the website for all classes. Not all of the names are in the computer but they will be by the time I update the second round.

9:09AM - It’s another beautiful morning here at Firebird Raceway. The track looks great! Our sportsman ET class is getting ready for their first round of qualifying. We’re looking forward to having a great day of racing! I’ll be working on keeping everyone updated as quickly as possible with qualifying rounds. -Donna

Good morning all. We have arrived and are setting up for Friday’s opening of the Arizona Nitro Nationals. We will be opening the gates and getting everyone parked at Noon. There is a test and tune this evening at 6:00PM. The weather looks great all weekend. We look forward to seeing all of our friends from the west coast that don’t get back east that often. Donna is here this weekend to keep you all updated and the Live Timing will be hooked and streamin as soon as the tower gets fired up. Stay tuned!
