The show is underwayÉbut a brief delay has us on hold already.  An exciting opening pair-the father and son- The FurrÕs battled it out for the biggest tire smoke in the burnout box to start things off and then staged for the race and a tree malfunction interrupts the pass and now a re-run will come later on in round one.  In the 2nd pairing, Joe Timmons was paired with Jim Fagan, and Timmons gets over the centerline to take out a foam block.  We are on hold as the timing equipment is replaced and then we are back to the Top Fuel opener.  Stay tuned for the results following the FurrÕs re-run a little later.

**Note on yesterdayÕs Pro Fuel qualifying:  Rick Casas of San Antonio, TX was injured in a top end accident in yesterdayÕs 2nd round of qualifying.  He was transported to a local hospital and is being treated for his injuries that so far have been reported from his crew as a broken wrist punctured lung and lower back injuries.  He is in stable condition and spoke with some of his crew on the phone earlier this morning.  No word on what caused him to come off the bike, which had just clocked a 4.731 at 170mph in the 1/8th mile on a nice looking pass-prior to the accident.  We will keep you updated on any further reports from his crew on his condition.
