Elimination Day at Summit Motorsports Park

DEREK CHRISTENSENÕS TRIFECTA!

The finals have been completed at the Roeder Harley-Davidson Ohio Bike Week Nationals and the BIG NEWS out of Summit Motorsports ParkÉDerek Christensen wins not one, not two, but THREE classes of competition here today!  We havenÕt officially confirmed, but we believe he is the first competitor to accomplish such a string of victories!

Adding more historical twists to that accomplishment is the fact that his mother- our very own Wanda Poff took double category wins at Atlanta Dragway two weeks ago and became the first female to achieve that double victory!  Needless to say, it was an overwhelming celebration for the Poff clan.  Both Wanda and Derek credit the help from Alan Poff for making this possible.  And Donnie Huffman said it best after the event- ÒIf we were handing out Sportsman Wrench of the Year Awards today, my vote is for Alan PoffÓ.

Alan told me himself moments before the finals began that they were going for the ÒTrifectaÓ.    It looks like they captured that with ease!  Congratulations to Derek and all of the winners here today!

Check out the finals in all of todayÕs categories on the result pages and stay tuned for more on this exciting event on www.ahdra.com and SPEED Magazine!

Good night from Summit Motorsports Park.
