With little breaks in the weather conditions reflected on the radar, AHDRA officials have called off the event.  Although the rain has stopped at this time, MIR Track promoter, Royce Miller has examined the track and incoming weather, and with a possible 3hour track drying process ahead and rains continuing to move in, the always tough decision was made to call it off.

Qualified racers from yesterdayís runs will receive payouts in accordance with the AHDRA rulebook.

Thanks to all for patiently waiting it out with us, and weíll be back on July 30th and 31st for the Can-Am Nationals in Brainerd, MN.

5:00pm-Still on rain delay at Maryland International Raceway.  The rain delay began in the Pro Gas 2nd round.  Radar shows it could continue until at least 5:30pm.  Due to the lighting with the weather front coming through, they have unplugged timing equipment in the tower.  There are a couple of classes missing data (Super Sport, Hot Street, Super Eliminator), but they will be completed as soon as we are back up and running.

We are told by track officials that the track drying process can take up to 2 hours, so we could be looking at late hours here in Maryland.
