Armon Furr improves and moves up to the 4th spot. Chris Streeter and Scott Bennett still not in the field.

Pro Gas:  Feazell is quicker and stays #1 and no other changes in the order.

Pro Drag- Rick Moore had problems in the 2nd lap but stayed on top and Will Simplot held on to 2nd.  Howard Wiggins is now in the field in the 3rd spot and Wink Eller went to the 4th spot.  Fletcher Mitchell was out of the field after one round but improves in the 2nd for the #4 spot.  Greg Byrnes 5.305 bumped him out of the field in the 2nd round and heÕll be looking to get back in in the 3rd and final round.  Eleven entries are currently on the roster.

The Pro Mod order shuffled a bit after 2nd round.  Randy Borho improved and held on to the top spot while Greg Krenik jumped to the #2 spot and Greg Kuypers is now 3rd.

Pro Drag up next.

Round 2 of the ProÕs underway.  Street Pro 2nd round is complete and Andy Simon picked up his pace and remains on top while Danny Worth moved into the 2nd spot in front of Zach Johnson.

2:00pm-

The track is almost race ready and we will resume round No. 2 of ET, Destroyer and SEP and then will head back into 2nd round Pro qualifying!

1:30pm

Syn3 ET 2nd round in the lanes and another hold for sprinkles.  We will be back in action as soon as possible.

1:10pm-

Top Fuel resumed and a full round of qualifying now complete in all classes.

Steve Stordeur stayed on top and Jay Turner and and Doug Vancil, Sternotti, Phil Schmidt and more are now in the field. Check out the complete order for round one on the Top Fuel qualifying page.

For those of you paying attention- you are reading it right..Phil Schmidt is back and in the field here at Texas Motorplex after his top end accident just last week in St. Louis.  Schmidt walked away from the incident, but his bike was not so lucky.  Schmidt headed over to Weekend Frame headquarters and John Storace has him back up and running this weekend.  Storace is here today to take in the action and said it was indeed a tough job getting SchmidtÕs bike ready to go in such a short time!

Other notes from the pits:  Tommy Grimes is absent from the field today after torching a head in last nightÕs Test and Tune.  Grimes wasnÕt injured, but was moving a little slow this morning as some soreness kicked in.  The team has packed up and headed back to the CarolinaÕs to get the bike back in race ready condition and will not compete here this weekend.

Tak Shigematsu is here this weekend, but problems in the opener forced him to shut if off in the water box- so we look for him to return for todayÕs 2nd round.

12:45pm

Right in the middle of Top Fuel opening round and we have sprinkles and were forced to shut off Jay Turner and Joe Timmons at the tree.  Much to the displeasure of Turner, but when the officials determine that there is even slight questionable circumstances..the call will be made to shut emÕ down..so that we did and we will let you know when we are back up and running.   Looks like it should be a brief sprinkle blowing through or at least thatÕs what we are hoping for!

So far the run order before the interruption:

Steve Stordeur             4.177

Drums Brancaccio       4.253

Mike Romine              4.298

Steve Dorn                  4.399

Kevin Boyer                4.742

Bill Furr                      5.338

Jack Romine                6.408

The rest of the field standing by when racing resumes at Texas Motorplex!

Stay tuned.

12:20pm

Pro Qualifying in the Pro Stock class right now (under 1/8th mile as a precaution with the wind conditions).    Earlier in Pro Fuel qualifying, John Breckenridge clocked the number to beat with a 4.262 at 173.72mph.  the 4.26 is a new record- bettering the 4.273 set by Mike Lehman all the way back in 2004.  Breckenridge has all weekend to back up the number.

Top Fuel opening round due on the track shortly.  Follow all the numbers on the result pages for your favorite class!

Super Eliminator double 10.90Õs!!  Well earlier we reported not only a pair of perfect 10.90Õs, but we also thought we had a pair of perfect .000 reactions, but turns out the boards flashed the over/under here on our screens and was mistaken for reaction timeÕs.

Sure looked good!!  J  However- McLaughlin and Walker did clock a pair of perfect 10.90Õs and are #1 and #2 in the line up!

10:31am

Qualifying continuing for the sportsman classes with V-Rod Destroyer wrapping up the opener and itÕs L.E. Tonglet at the head of the pack again with a 9.32 today.

News just in from the tech department:  Track officials have been watching the wind situation carefully here in Texas and it has now been decided that Pro qualifying will happen on the 1/8th mile.  Sportsman will continue on the ¼ mile.

A Pro rider meeting was called to discuss and no objections were received.

Although it may seem to some, a premature call - it is in the best interest of safety to go with the 1/8th mile.  A decision on tomorrowÕs eliminationÕs will be made in the morning after riders and track officials access the situation.

For now..we are back to qualifying- with the sportsman categories.

It looks like the ProÕs will lead off with Street Pro at 11:30am.

Good morning from the Rucker Performance LoneStar NationalÕs.  We are looking at a 9:30am start for the Syn3 ET opening round of qualifying here in Ennis, TX.

The current conditions are mostly cloudy with winds.  Forecast calls for highs in the low 80Õs.  Stay tuned for todayÕs qualifying numbers on the result pages for your favorite class.  WeÕll only be popping on this page today with breaking news or reports of any delays.  Stay tuned for hourly results all day.
