Top Fuel 2nd round just completed and it looks like the National pointÕs chase will continue to heat up in preparation for the finals in Vegas.  Shigematsu (in the #1 spot) went out against Turner, but Vancil, who is a close 2nd in the standings advanced over Schmidt and will be back in the semiÕs.

12:30pm-

We will bring you results from todayÕs eliminationÕs as time permits on the ladder pages.

We will update you here with any breaking news or delays.

We will be back tomorrow with eliminations beginning for the sportsman at 9:00am and the ProÕs at noon.

Good night from Auto Club Raceway at Pomona.

3:50pm

2nd round getting close to completion. Top Fuel on the track now for their 2nd and final round today.  We will then wrap up with SSC 124, Super Sport, V-Rod and Super Gas as we race against the daylight to get in 2 rounds for everyone!

The numbers are coming at you shortly!

2:00pm Update

Round One is now posted..whew! With the large contingent of ET racers, I was able to get some typing time in.   (over 60 bikes in ET- local racer Vincent Garrett is in the #1 spot after two rounds with a .003. Charlie Walker is 2nd after two rounds with a matching .003 and Joey Talbott just took the 3rd spot in the 2nd round with a .007).

Here is the update on our schedule status here in Pomona.  First round took nearly 4 hours with many delays, so now it is 2pm and we are in 2nd round of sportsman qualifying.  We will run sportsman classes until we get to Super Eliminator and then we will cut in for the ProÕs 2nd round and resume the remaining sportsman classes for final round qualifying.

Note:  Due to no track lights- All Classes will be laddered on 2 rounds of qualifying this weekend.

Good morning from Auto Club Raceway at Pomona.

We are underway with qualifying rounds and quite a bit off schedule after surprise restrictions on start times and an oil down to lead us off in ET.

Our plan is to attempt two rounds of qualifying for all classes, as we race against time to beat nightfall with no trackside lights.

Many of you may have read on Talk Shop that tower operator Stephanie Druschel is unable to be with us this weekend due to her motherÕs serious illness.  Our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family during this time and we miss you already Steph!

In StephanieÕs absence, we will make attempts to bring you Live Updates if possible, but it looks like we may have to post results later this evening in order to keep things running smoothly and most of all safely from here in the tower.

California Bike Week has brought in a gigantic entourage of Media and we started the day with a live broadcast on Los Angeles station KTLA and many more are to follow today and tomorrow. There are 2 film crews setting up over my shoulder in the tower right now including Speed TVÕs American Thunder.. so needless to say the tower is quite active today.

Again. if we are not able to get any results up for you during todayÕs qualifying, we will post them later this evening and we appreciate your patience and understanding with the circumstances.
