September 23, 2008 (Pfafftown, NC) - The All Harley Drag Racing Association (AHDRA) heads to Rockingham Dragway on October 10th, 11th, and 12th for the 2008 Championship Finals at the Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts Nationals Presented by Kresto.
It is the first time in many years the AHDRA championship finals have taken place on the east coast. Hundreds of competitors are expected to take the track in the sixteen classes of competition offered up in AHDRA's 2008 Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts Championship Series, including 220 mph nitro Harleys, street bikes, and more.
The Championship standings in several classes are closer than ever before making it a special treat for fans when they see the best riders in the sport battle it out at the famed Rockingham Dragway, known to many as "The Rock".
Fans will see this and much more at the Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts Nationals Presented by Kresto.
This year, the action stretches for three days, beginning with a qualifying session for all classes on Friday, October 10th. On Saturday, two more qualifying sessions will be held before AHDRA brings to the track for the first time at The Rock, the Screamin' Eagle East Coast High Stakes Shoot-Out, with a $15,000 cash prize purse. Open to professional or novice racers, the bracket style race awards $12,000 to the winner and a generous $3,000 to the runner-up. (Visit ahdra.com for complete details on entering).
Camping is available for the entire weekend, giving fans 3-days of racing, a huge array of vendors and back by popular demand - on Saturday night it's North Carolina's Peace Pipe band rocking the crowd until midnight.
Saturday and Sunday, H.O.G. members can take advantage of the official H.O.G. Pit Stop on location at Rockingham Dragway. H.O.G. members will receive a free pin and refreshments with paid admission.
