Bob Malloy
makes the quickest time of the round with a 6.51 at 204mph for the #1 spot in
the field in front of Steve DornÕs 6.66 at 198mph. Dean Comunal made a nice looking 6.75/211mph lap for the 3rd

Poague clocked a 6.76 at 188mph to grab the top spot. Douglas Horne is 2nd here at

Tommy Sloan, coming off of a win at Norwalk, is in the 3rd
spot and rounds out the six-second openers with his 6.88 at 190mph.
POFFORMANCE!
You will
see this name on the cover of the August issue of SPEED Magazine. ItÕs the best way to describe the team
combo- Wanda Poff, Derek Christensen and the work of Alan Poff as the team
displays outstanding performance race after race. Wanda Poff snatched double wins in Georgia, becoming the
first female to do so, and then her son-Derek Christensen pulls out a triple
crown in Norwalk-also a first in national event competition! Both credit their performance to
husband and stepfather, Alan Poff and support from BrianÕs Harley-Davidson.
With all
that said..check out what they have brought out in todayÕs first round.
Wanda Poff
sits at the top of the order in double categories..Bison Racing Super Gas and
ScreaminÕ Eagle V-Rod Destroyer!
Then, look over at the S & S Super Sport line-up and you will see
Derek Christensen at the top of that order!
ItÕs
early, and this duo is setting the pace in several classes already! Stay tuned to see if they can be
stopped in todayÕs remaining rounds!
In the
Syn3 ET field, approximately 50 bikes came out in round one and so far itÕs
Garrett Owens of Welcome, NC at the top of the order with a .003 best reaction.
In AHDRA
Pro Modified, Greg Krenik sits at the top of the order after one round with an
8.66. If there were an 8.66 index
class- The Desert Dawg, Krenik would be considered dialed-in for perfection. In Norwalk, OH he clocked an 8.66 three
times before his 8.65 finish. His
consistency remains in tact so far here at Cecil County Dragway.
Good
morning from the AHDRA Northeast Nationals Presented by Horne Concrete
Construction & Structural Concrete in Rising Sun, MD. Qualifying rounds have just begun with
the sportsman classes under early warm temperatures. The high today is expected to rich 94 ŌMaryland hotĶ degrees
with near 100% humidity!
Stay tuned
for all the qualifying results following each round on the result pages and as
always, we will keep you up to date if there is breaking news or delays to
report.
