Welcome to live coverage from the Screamin' Eagle Performance Parts Nitro Nationals presented by Seaford Harley-Davidson!
Good morning from U.S. 13 Dragway. The skies are gray under warm, humid temps. The pits filled quickly this morning and we're hoping the weather cooperates for a great weekend of racing. Test and Tuning gets underway today at 1pm followed by Qualifying session #1 at 4pm. That's right 4pm. Stay with us throughout the evening for all the results and highlights. Over 35,000 bikes have rolled in town since Thursday for Delmarva Bike Week...and we're hoping for a large portion of them to catch the racing action right here at U.S. 13 Dragway.

A quick couple of notes from the pits..Cliff Dwy rolled in to town last night, surprising most with yet another east coast appearance.
Dwy is definately looking to close the gap in the Joker Machine Pro Modified competition. He'll have to catch Mike Lozano, who is also competing this weekend on a mystery bike, yet to be unveiled. Dwy says an earlier internet story reported Lozano having a "stranglehold" on the points and he wants to change the story. Dwy may be here to stir up the Pro Mod point's but it was the Karaoke competition he stirred up last night for fellow racers and AHDRA staff. Dwy's Sasquatch racing team is hoping he carries the "right tune" on the track as well!
Welcome back Tom Bradford! Bradford's here for the Pro Stock action this weekend. Bradford had the lead for much of the season after 5 back-to-back wins, and John Hammock moved in to the point's lead. Both riders are here this weekend vying for the title!
Riders meeting is coming up and then it's test and tune time! Stay tuned for more this evening after round one qualifying.

Update..test and tune underway..mystery solved...Lozano is piloting John Hammock's Pro Mod machine this weekend!

Test and Tune News..Doug Morrow runs a 9.310 in Spyke Street Pro!
Too bad it's test and tune so the record pass will not count, but stay tuned for qualifying to see if the Carl's Speed Shop team can repeat the number.

Round One Qualifying complete at the Delaware Nitro Nationals...things are quite busy here, as we are literally racing the weather conditions and a last minute emergency has delayed the announcer arrival..therefore guess who's behind the mic?? Rain Drops are falling on our heads and the track..so we are in rain delay!
The rain finally caught up with us and it appears we may be done for the night. Stay tune for an update later tonight or first thing in the morning.

Good morning from U.S. 13 Dragway under rainy conditions. We are in a rain delay here on Sunday elimination day. If we are able to race, we will lead off with a final round of JIMS Top Fuel qualifying and all other classes will be laddered from thier rounds completed yesterday. I'll be back with the latest when there's news to tell.

No hope for clearing has forced AHDRA officials to cancel Sunday's show at the Delaware Nitro Nationals. This event will be completed at the October Rockingham event.
Further details on the scheduling of remaining Top Fuel qualifying and eliminations will be posted on www.ahdra.com soon.
